Ted Goehry and his family have been farming near Brewster, Washington since the early 1970's. Their 30 acres produce a wide variety of organic fruits including Bing, Van, and Sweetheart cherries, D'anjou and Bartlett pears, as well as Gala, Fuji, Braeburn, Honeycrisp^TM and Cameo^TM apples.

Ted farmed conventionally for many years. He converted the orchard to organic in the late 1990's. The Goehrys find organic farming intriguing and challenging, and enjoy having a closer relationship with their local markets as well as consumers. The small size of their orchard allows them to focus intently on the quality of their fruit, while diversifying their orchard with great tasting new varieties. The Goehrys enjoy spending time giving out samples of their fruit in stores, which gives them a chance to speak directly to consumers about their fruit and the importance of organic farming.
