PAI, organic and transition apples and pears from Argentina

PAI was formed in 1974 and today consists of approximately 200 small and medium growers representing a total of almost 8000 acres of tree fruit in the Upper Río Negro valley, an oasis in the dry northern Patagonia region. The clear, glacial waters of the Río Negro and Río Neuquén flow down from the Andes mountains to give life to the valley’s orchards. This area’s climate and geography have made it the best pear and apple producing region in Argentina.

PAI began converting acreage to organic methods in the early 1990's and today a considerable portion of their fruit is certified organic. They are certified by Argencert, the internationally recognized certifying agency of Argentina. They produce wonderful Gala, Braeburn, Granny Smith, Fuji and Red Delicious apples as well as succulent Bartlett, Red Bartlett, D'Anjou, Packham and Bosc pears.

CF Fresh is proud to support PAI and look forward to many more years providing their high quality organic produce to consumers.
