Organic McIntosh Apple

A favorite on the East Coast and in Canada, the first McIntosh was a chance seedling discovered in 1796 by John McIntosh in Dundas County, Ontario.

McIntosh apples are medium-sized oblate round fruits that are red on a green background. There are many strains available with many color variations from red-striped strains to full red-brown blushed strains.

The flesh is white, soft and fine-textured. The flavor is distinctively tangy and aromatic. This variety is excellent for every day use and is available from fall through early spring.
